Sakana Sushi & Oyster Bar: Exquisite Sushi and Oysters in Thornhill

yooo ts sushi was realy good, idk how sushi is supposed to be priced but ur was expensive but it was also sushi sooo take that as u will anyways presentation was food atmosphere was good and my only gripe is that the person working js couldve brought us water a little faster cause i was really parched

First time dined here. It truly exceeded all my expectations—I think it’s the best I’ve ever experienced! I’m usually very particular about sushi, but every dish here was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented!! Everything was really good and the highlight was the Unagi (eel) rice stone bowl—absolutely delicious!!

Second time here and they do not disappoint. We also were lucky to receive a special cut of tuna sashimi. Presentation was out of this world I’ve never seen anything like it. Drive out here it’s worth it, better than a lot of places downtown, highly recommend.

I come here occasionally and honestly their food is worth saving up for. Yes, it may be on the pricier side, but each cent spent is worth the quality and taste of their dishes. I highly recommend the spicy salmon inari!

Hands down the best sushi bar in the city! As soon as we walked into the restaurant, our waitress, Christine, welcomed us with such a big smile! We ordered sashimi and sushi combo, half dozen of oysters, shrimp tempuras, and draft beer and it was AMAZING! Everything tasted fresh and flavourful! Nothing else to say except that it was spectacular. Though the restaurant was busy, the staff was very attentive, asked if we needed anything, and when asked upon, our needs were quickly served. 1000% recommend and very excited to go back and try other menus!

This was a great sushi spot! The food was reasonably priced for the quality and I really enjoyed the sashimi. Their rolls were also pretty big. The atmosphere, music, and decor were very well done. The service was prompt and super thoughtful. A great place to go out to with friends.

Had a late lunch at Sakana with my son and was really impressed. The nigiri sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, and the inari was well seasoned and delicious. The oysters were incredibly fresh and sweet—I was too busy devouring them to even take a photo! Our server, Joseph, was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely planning to come back!
